Heading to Heaven in high heels...

Sadly, and not in her own words- this is the final entry on Heather's blog. Our girl lost her hard-fought battle with breast cancer last night. Heather went to heaven with the same grace and qualities we all loved about her here on earth..beauty, dignity, grace, strength, the list goes on and on. All who have followed her journey on this site and in person know about the legacy she has left. Heather showed us how to get the most out of life under any circumstances, we can't forget that. Let's take what we've learned and be the best we can be- for ourselves, our families, our communities and especially for Heather.

Heather took pictures of our daughter, Gracie, who passed away at birth just over two years ago. Heather was so sweet, kind, and compassionate throughout the whole thing. Her talent was, and is, a gift that me and my family could never say 'thank you' enough for. Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I've always believed that the brightest stars are the ones that are with us the shortest amount of time. Heather was one in a million. We are so blessed to be touched by her positive attitude and strong spirit. I know that because of her I will never be the same. Our prayers are with you and your family during this time.
